Gabriel Carazo
Gabriel Carazo is a multifaceted professional in the mental health sector and ACA accredited counsellor, renowned for his innovative approach to counselling, particularly within the realm of family dynamics. Gabriel has established himself as a leading therapist dedicated fostering mental wellness and resilience. A father of two, Gabriel intimately understands the complexities of parenting, passionately advocating for emotional intelligence and open communication among men. With over a decade of experience in the community sector, including roles in residential support, complex care, and disability justice. Gabriel’s expertise extends to behaviour support providing psychosocial education and therapeutic support to NDIS individuals and families experiencing challenging behaviours.
Beyond his counselling and therapeutic practices, he is the founder of Rad Dads Victoria, an initiative designed to empower fathers by creating a community space and support network that encourages positive parenting , emotional growth and mutual support. Through Rad Dads, Gabriel aims to redefine fatherhood , promoting an environment where men can openly share their experiences l, challenges, and successes in parenting, thus contributing significantly to breaking down the stigmas surrounding male mental health and vulnerability.
His commitment to enhancing the well being of families and his work among the community, earned him the prestigious title of YMCA Victorian Father of the Year. This accolade is a testament to his personal and professional dedication to redefining fatherhood and promoting positive , impactful change within communities across Central Victoria.
Qualifications
Graduate Diploma Relationship counselling , Diploma in Counselling , Certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy , Diploma Alcohol and other drugs (Mental Health), Certificate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy , Practitioner Certificate Family Therapy, Professional Certificate Positive Psychology ,Certificate MiCBT (Mindfulness based Cognitive Behaviour Therapy) , Certificate IV in Mental Health , Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, Gottman Principles Level 1 and Gottman Bringing baby home
Ranges counselling aims to provide affordable and accessible prices , as we understand the importance of the provision of these services. We want our services to be accessible so please discuss payment plans with us if you are experiencing financial hardship.
